Pair hand carved wooden horse sculptures by M Brasher. This pair of horse sculptures were carved from solid mahogany by M Brasher. The running horse has M Brasher mark stamped into its base. The sitting horse does not have its base where the signature would be but was also carved by Brasher. They each measures 5 inches long. Hand carved from solid mahogany.

A or R Dori Bronze. The signature on this lovely bronze is hard to make out. This bronze looks French from the late 19th century. Measures 25 inches high. The old wax or varnish finish could be cleaned to show its original bright look.

Bruno Giorgi Brazilian sculptor was born in Mocoa near Sao Paulo Brazil and moved with his family to Italy in 1911. Studied in France. This modern bronze sculpture measures 12 inches high, six inches wide is signed on its original rosewood base.See Latin American and Caribbean Artists of the Modern Era by Steve Shipp page 277 or New Brazilian Art by P M Bardi page 154 for more information on this important Brazilian artist. This same piece in a large version can be seen in the book Bruno Giorgi c1980 by Art Editora Ltda./Editora Record S/A Rio de Janeiro.

The Face by Artist Sculptor Hi Gates. H.I. Gates has been inspired, in his figurative sculptural creations, by both the form and function of original artifacts which he collects. He has been an avid collector of Japanese art for about fifteen years. Japanese armor is a microcosm of the exquisite artistry that abounds in Japanese art. One of his favorite stylistic sources is the elaborate personal costumes which arrayed members of the Japanese warrior class, the samurai. Samurai armor as an art form has been inspirational to his sculpture, as is Japanese cinema and Gates has been an avid collector of Japanese art for about fifteen years. Speak No Evil is a fanciful personage with an antlered headdress. Thematically, it was inspired by Japanese architectural sculpture of the famed Nikko shrine.
