Unusual Japanese okimono carving.This okimono carving is unique with its sliding door.Slide open the door and two people are caught in the act of love. Wonderful carving detail. Measures 2 and one quarter inches long by 7/8inches long. Signed by the artist on base. This wonderful okimono carving came to us from an Essex CT estate along with eight other netsuke and okimono. They were purchased in New York on Madison Ave at a high end shop in the 1960s. Excellent original condition.

"Antique bookends",Pair of Art Deco bronze bookends made by the Pompeian Bronze Co. These bookends are made with a thick veneered bronze exterior and a filled interior.They were made at the turn of the 19th and 20th century. The Pompeian Bronze Co. made exact copies of museum pieces at that time. This pair of bookends measures 7 inches high 6 and one quarter inches long and 3 inches wide. This is a nice and heavy set and would hold larger books with no problem.

Pre Colombian carving, This pre Colombian temple face carving or ornament adorned a Mexican temple. This pre Colombian face carving dates from 600 ad and measures 5 inches high by 4 and and one half inches wide by 3 and and one quarter inches deep. It looks as though the material is a form of lava.There is a piece broken of its top which must have happened when it was removed. There is mortised out whole at the top which must have had a ring that help the piece to the temple.
